The theme of this work, Lotus of the Heart, is "Living beyond Beliefs." One can live beyond and include belief. This capability is a grace of contemplative spirituality. This embrace occurs only outside the duality created by thought.
So, one may live in this gift of grace while having beliefs. Yet, how one relates to the beliefs one holds and those others hold is transformed. The personal self no longer needs to be right and someone else wrong, for it has bowed before the Self. This grace is a reconciliation of opposites, a making-peace between what was once seen as contraries. The fruit: inner harmony, a harmony others witness through our presence, words, and our deportment. There can be no social harmony without this inner harmony. To hold lightly what we think to be true and invite in those who think otherwise is an act of selfless compassion.
beyond beliefs we are taken into the arms of Grace by Grace then our whole being expresses gracefully we become the communion that draws other beings beyond the thoughts that divide us to the Truth that unites us
this Truth is a living Truth it is not one truth or a collection of truths cannot be put into ideas or words cannot be contained in any belief system so frees us to share in that Mystery our home, our heart
how refreshing and freeing when - the walls fall down how sad to see so many too afraid of otherness to invite the world in - so discover, how enriching is the beauty of our variety
we are not a one note life song - oneness does not negate multiplicity - we are a medley
hence, any belief which does not lead you to open-heartedness - divides the world between those who belong with you and those who don't - let it go!
